Cast Resin Gnoll Hyena Mask Blank (made to order)

Hyenas are just cool. I don't make the rules.

So naturally, when I encountered a pack of Gnolls (in my mind, were-hyenas) in my DnD campaign, I had to capture their wonderful, ummm... demeanor.

This is a hard cast resin mask made from my original sculpt. It is made of an approximately 1/8" thick (at it's thickest) cast urethane resin. The standard casting procedure is 4-5 layers of resin with a coating of black resin in the inside. White, black, and custom color masks will be opaque. The translucent peach color has more of a natural skin translucency effect. If you would like a different translucent color, please contact me with a color sample. Comfortably fits heads up to 24" in circumference, but may be customized to fit slightly larger heads.

Vision ports can be cut in the wrinkles around the eyes, especially the recesses under the brow bone area. Warning, like all masks, vision will be limited. Do not wear this as a form of protection, or in larping battle situations, and do not engage in any risky behaviors, such as driving, while wearing this piece. Please use common sense and be safe. Feral Works is not liable for any damages in relationship to wearing this mask.

The masks should be thoroughly scrubbed with liquid dishsoap prior to painting to help remove any residual release spray. Masks do not include a strap or hanging device.

This mask is meant to be modded or painted. Acrylic paint works best in my experience for painting and Apoxie Sculpt can be used to add scars or other additions. Mask can be lightly carved (it's only an approx. 1/8" thick). I recommend using black buckram on the inside to cover the eye cut outs to make them less visible.

This is a RAW, unfinished mask. That means that it is fresh out of the mold with no trimming or clean-up. Some experience with a dremel tool or modifying masks is highly recommended.

Eyes are NOT included.

Because each mask is individually cast after receiving the order, please allow 2-3 weeks for production. If you would like a different color on the outermost coat of resin, please message me and I'll see what I can do!

Please note that this mask is for decorative purposes ONLY! It is not suitable for contact activities (like Larping with weapons or sports). It is not a helmet and does not offer any protective measures. Again, visibility is poor when wearing this mask. Please take appropriate measures (i.e. don't drive. if you are unwilling to unmask, please have a handler) Please use appropriately. I am not responsible for any misuse.
