Pittish Foam Latex Mask

Please read entire listing before purchasing.

This is a repainted Greyland Film “Tristan” Mask. I did not sculpt this piece. It is cast from Foam latex, allowing it to have some movement and stretch. I’ve repainted the mask in a realistic paint job and applied hair to recreate Brad Pitt’s iconic look at the end of Fight Club.

This mask can be slid over your head in the same way you would put on a silicone mask: SILICONE MASK APPLICATION VIDEO. It does not have as much stretch as a silicone mask. I would not recommend this piece for folks with a head that is larger than 24” in circumference. If your head is larger than 23” you may need to cut a slit up the back. For reference, my head (shown in the pictures) is 23.5”

I will include metal pieces for an upper and lower nose bridge. These can be temporarily taped in with medical tape. If you would like me to permanently glue them in, please note that when checking out.

Because it is cast in foam latex, this piece can be applied with prosthetic adhesive to give much more accurate movements, however, it will likely not survive the removal process.

All hair is glued on. Excessive rubbing or brushing will remove the hair.

I’ve only worn this mask for pictures and a short movement video, about 15 minutes total. I wore a wig cap and a skin sealant underneath and sanitized the mask afterwards.

Please do not purchase this if you are allergic to latex.

For novelty use only.

Caring for your Latex Mask:

  • Latex is a natural rubber. It will break down eventually. However, if treated properly, this piece will give you years of wear.

  • Handle gently. While I’ve made every attempt to make this piece as sturdy as possible, it will tear if stretched beyond its capabilities

  • Store in a temperature controlled environment away from sunlight. Sunlight will cause latex to yellow and break down faster.

  • Store mask in its proper shape by placing it on a mannequin or with plastic bags inside.

  • Mask can be cleaned with a damp, soft towel. Do not use any solvents or cleaners as they may strip the paint. Clean with a light blotting motion. DO NOT SCRUB

  • Dust can be removed with an airduster.

  • Mask can be trimmed with a scissors to allow for a better fit or more natural look on the wearer. If trimming, round off any edges. If you need to cut a slit on an overhead mask, use a hole punch at the end of the slit to prevent the mask from tearing.

  • If your piece has hair, Don’t pull or tug at the hair. Hair is adhered using a glue on the surface, rough handling will cause this piece to shed.

  • Use fingers to lightly style/organize hair. Brushing or combing may cause hair to be pulled out.

  • If your mask has an attached wig (instead of individually glued hair), you can brush the wig with a wide-toothed wig comb and wig conditioner. Hold the hair just before the base so as not to pull at the wig where it is attached.

  • If the paint gets damaged, it can be touched up with Acrylics

Pieces will ship in a box with packing material stuffed in the inside of the mask. This should prevent any major deformations. However, you may need to heat up this piece with a hair dryer in order to get it to snap back to its proper shape after shipping. The box size for this mask is to allow the mask to be shipped without folding it.

Masks are non-returnable, due to their personal nature. Please reach out to me with any questions micah@micahebbe.com
